We believe that the Magic horse Ranch will bring miracles for children and youth in the Caribbean who suffer in life. We would like to create a loving environment with horses for children who are lost in life and offer them a chance become a child with a fresh start filled with love, and a future with positive strength. 
No matter what kind of situation a child comes from, if there is no love there is no life. If  a child suffers,  it has borders in every social and physical way in life that will keep them from a happy loving youth and future. It will keep them from making a change. We need to show them that we care and that we can offer a future without borders.  A new future with great things in store!
Magic Horses is a new project for children and youth to find themselves and see that the world has other positive ways for them.
Magic Horses wants to create a horse ranch filled with sport programs, study information, therapy and training centers for them to discover what they can do,  who they are and to give them another future perspective.

The issue:  

There is a tremendous need for after-school care for children and youth. Far too many families in poverty are unable to find safe, quality programs for their children, and are forced to leave their children unsupervised. A high amount of all children and youth are (left) alone each day in the hours after school. For some of these latch-key kids, the hours after school may be dangerous; between the hours of 2 and 8 p.m., children and youth are the most likely to use alcohol, tobacco and illegal drugs, and more likely to experiment with sex. All of these risks greatly increase for low-income children in urban communities.

For many other children and youth, the afternoon hours are simply wasted; time spent watching television or doing nothing could be used instead to participate in positive activities or to connect with responsible adults. Research indicates that children who attend high quality after-school programs have better peer relations, emotional adjustment, conflict resolution skills, grades, and behavior in school than children who are not in after-school programs. Students who spend one to four hours per week in extracurricular activities are 49% less likely to use drugs and 37% less likely to become teen parents than students who do not participate.

Despite a perception of sports and recreation programs as expendable or even frivolous, sports programs provide an important mechanism to reach large numbers of children and youth and engage them in healthy and positive activities during non-school hours. More children and youth chose to take part in sports programs than in any other after-school activity. Sports programs have the potential to promote physical health as well as healthy childhood and youth development.

Sports programs can help address the growing problems of inactivity and obesity among children and youth. Today, there are nearly twice as many overweight children and almost three times as many overweight adolescents as there were in 1980.
A lack of physical activity has contributed to this sharp rise in obesity.
Sports programs can also promote healthy development. Examples abound of successful sports programs that build character, responsibility and leadership.

Child Abuse:
Child abuse is more than bruises or broken bones. While physical abuse is shocking due to the scars it leaves, not all child abuse is as obvious. Ignoring children’s needs, putting them in unsupervised, dangerous situations, or making a child feel worthless or stupid are also child abuse. Regardless of the type of child abuse, the result is serious emotional harm.

The issue that we face now: Families are under increasing stress. They are not connected to supportive communities. They are unsure where to go for help balancing, work, family and civic responsibilities. The issue: The Caribbean child and youth population faces a lifestyle health crisis. The need into make better choices. They need continuous supportive relationships and environments. The Caribbean is a wonderful place for tourists and offers many beautiful places, history and beaches. Sadly, It has also many children who live in poverty, or situations which they do not have the tools nor help for to step out of this situation. Many children and youth go to school without having breakfast or stay on the street after school. Nobody to guide them and nobody to teach them that there is another world out there.

Magic horse project Member:
Each Hotel, resort, foundation or other businesses can help by joining us and become a member of our Magic Horse Project. Our membership fees are $100,00 per month per member. This amount will go in full to our project. You will receive our monthly newsletter full of information about Caribbean Children and the progress in all the help that is offered for them by other foundations and us. Of course we keep you fully updated in all the progress of our Magic horse project and what we achieve each month. 

More Magic:
If you choose to outsource your Guest Services and hire Caribbean Bayside we will donate 5% of each payment to the Magic Horses project.
